This NBA season (2017-18) the average height of the top 5 Assist per Game leaders was the tallest in NBA history.  The top 5 this season had an average height of 6’5.4” which is an all-time “high”.  This top 5 includes Russell Westbrook (6’3”), LeBron James (6’8”), James Harden (6’5”), Ben Simmons (6’10”), and Rajon Rondo (6’1”).  LeBron James finishing in 2nd place has cracked the top 5 for the first time in his 15 year career.  LeBron and Simmons were the first players over 6’7” to be in the top 5 since Magic Johnson in 1991.  The previous high for average height was 6’4.8” in the 1967-68 season that included Wilt Chamberlain (7’1”) and Oscar Robertson (6’5”).
